AASCD: The Whole Educator
Limited Capacity seats available

Research shows evidence that educators understand and practice the tenets of the Whole Child, yet many people are not paying attention to their own physical and mental health. Join us for an interactive session in which we will explore the current literature on the benefits of wellness and mindfulness for educators through such strategies as yoga, meditation, and healthy sleep habits. Participants will be invited to experience many of the wellness practices discussed in this session.

Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

School leaders are charged with fostering and promoting a vision for teaching and learning that empowers and inspires all shareholders while making the needs of the whole child the top priority. The list of daily demands required to make this a reality is endless, though, so this session will consider approaches and strategies for managing the countless responsibilities and expectations of the building level leader while keeping students at the forefront through a whole child perspective while supporting teachers and staff through a whole educator perspective.

This protocol allows participants to connect with one another and receive useful feedback about the work. The protocol creates space to acknowledge successes as well as recognize and reflect on how challenges can become opportunities. ie I am not too late. If I am, it is my fault.
