Limited Capacity seats available

Generation Ready Inc. has recognized, acknowledged and is addressing the historical biases that have prevented specific populations of students from realizing their full potential. As a learning organization Generation Ready has embraced equity in schools as it has vigorously opened doors to students in all communities to sustain a society of equity and cultural proficiency. Embracing, building and sustaining an equitable school system demands courage and a moral imperative. Join the Generation Ready team as they share their progress in helping schools and districts across the country to build and sustain their transformation of becoming quality equitable schools and districts.  The Generation Ready team will share how they have implemented a cycle of culturally proficient leadership: valuing diversity, assessing the current culture, managing the dynamics of differences, institutionalizing cultural knowledge and adapting diversity.

Learning Objectives:
Participants will:
  1. Identify the moral imperative for equity (Why)
  2. Experience the level of commitment necessary to promote cultural proficiency
  3. Identify the skills of transformative leadership to build and sustain equity
