During this session, Dr. Sander will share additional building-wide and classroom approaches to developing more trauma sensitive schools. The presenter will discuss how schools can create more trauma sensitive environments that promote students’ and staffs’ self-regulation and address student’s lagging social/emotional skills. Dr. Sander will share tools to help guide the development of more trauma sensitive schools. The session will close with a focus on self-care as it is essential that we are at our best ever day so we can be our best when working with the students and families we serve every day.
