This workshop is for school personnel, counselors, and administrators to get a better understanding of school-based mental health services (SBMH). Participants will discuss the state of service delivery in Arkansas as well as how each school can enhance their current programs. The newly funded Arkansas AWARE program will also outline how schools can tap into necessary resources on mental health and Mental Health First Aid (MHFA). This session directly impacts the discussion of the Whole Child. Discussion activities include team building, talk around assessing their schools needs, and developing an action plan to move their SBMH program forward.
