Implicit bias has been noted as a factor in harsh treatment in disciplinary practices and other inequities in education.  This Keynote Address will: (a) foster an understanding of implicit bias and its impact on teaching, learning, and interacting, (b) introduce culturally responsive practices to develop supportive environments and, (c) provide strategies for developing social-emotional competencies.
