Log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity seats available

Come see and hear how the Strategic Instruction Model (SIM), an evidence-based comprehensive set of methodologies has been successfully implemented in middle and secondary schools across the state. This model has over 40 years of supportive research behind it and targets students needing Tier 1, 2, or 3 instructional interventions. SIM is a comprehensive approach to adolescent literacy that addresses the need of students to be able to read and understand large amounts of complex materials as well as their need to be able to express themselves effectively in writing. In essence, SIM is about promoting effective teaching and learning of critical content in schools through powerful student-focused interventions, Learning Strategies, and teacher-focused interventions, Content Enhancement Routines. You will hear about SIM as it is implemented in a variety of ways in districts from across Arkansas.
