Teaching Geometry using a problem-based core curriculum has changed the way that we thought we knew how to teach math. For students to conceptually understand and learn math it is no longer “I do-we do-you do,” it is now “students do-students collaborate-whole group”. Participants will see that students can make connections between their own way of thinking and that of their peers and still be able to keep the mathematics rigorous. Specific teacher moves will also described to encourage student talk over teacher talk and engage students in the process.
