ADE Summit 2019

A Learning Walk is a brief classroom visit utilizing a researched-based tool that provides principals and teachers opportunities to reflect on what students are learning, learning strategies, student interaction with the content, and student engagement. Principals and other instructional leaders collect data based on four minute “snapshots” of classrooms. The data collected is utilized to drive cycles of inquiry in a non-evaluative manner with teachers in the school where the Learning Walks were conducted. In this session, we will review the Learning Walk tool and processes, conduct a ‘mock’ Learning Walk, and discuss possible solutions for challenges encountered in the implementation of Learning Walks.
